Physical Presence Calculator
This tool helps you calculate the days you’ve been physically present in Canada to meet citizenship residency requirements.
How is it calculated?
You (and any minors applying with you, if applicable) must have been physically present in Canada for at least 1,095 days (3 years) within the 5 years immediately before the date you sign your application. To ensure accuracy, we recommend applying with more than 1,095 days of physical presence in case there are discrepancies in the calculation.
If you spent time in Canada as a temporary resident, you may include these periods in your physical presence calculation. Each day spent in Canada as a temporary resident counts as 0.5 day towards your total physical presence, up to a maximum of 365 days.
